Oak Gingerbread Style Mantel or Wall Clock 5”X15”X22” - This clock is designed in the Victorian gingerbread parlor style, characteristic of late 19th-century kitchen or mantel clocks. The case is constructed from oak with a honey-toned finish and features extensive pressed decorative scrollwork and foliate motifs on the crest, sides, and base. The front features a hinged, glazed door with a gold-tone screen-printed foliate design. The circular white dial is marked with black Roman numeral hour markers and two winding arbors, set within a brass-finished bezel. The clock is equipped with a mechanical dual-train movement that strikes on a spiral wire gong. Included with the clock are a decorative stamped-brass pendulum bob and a T-shaped winding key. The reverse features a plywood backboard with a modern metal hanging bracket, suggesting a late 20th-century manufacture in the style of makers such as William L. Gilbert or E. Ingraham.
