Antique American Pressed Oak Gingerbread Mantel Clock Attributed to E. Ingraham 5”X15”X22” - This late 19th-century American gingerbread or shelf mantel clock is attributed to E. Ingraham and Company. The case is constructed from oak and features extensive ornate steam-pressed Victorian scrollwork, floral motifs, and architectural finials. The circular brass-tone bezel houses a white dial with black Roman numeral hour markers and black spade-shaped hands. The text Made in U S A is printed below the twelve o'clock position. The lower portion of the front glass door is decorated with a gold-tone stencil pattern depicting scrolling foliate and lattice designs. The interior contains a mechanical eight-day time-and-strike movement with a coiled wire gong strike. It is equipped with a decorative brass pendulum bob embossed with a landscape scene featuring a building with a spire. A double-ended metal winding key is included. The back of the case shows adhesive residue where the original paper label was previously attached.
