Early 20th Century Hale System Three-Tier Quarter-Sawn Oak Barrister Bookcase by Camden Cabinet Co. 11”X34”X52” - FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY: Early 20th-century Hale System sectional barrister bookcase or lawyer's bookcase manufactured by the Camden Cabinet Co. of Camden, New York. The unit is constructed from five modular interlocking sections including a molded top cap, three glazed storage cases, and a base unit featuring two side-by-side drawers with metal pull handles and a curved apron. The piece is made of quarter-sawn oak, displaying a prominent tiger fleck grain pattern throughout. Each storage section is equipped with a single clear glass door that lifts and slides horizontally into the cabinet frame, fitted with a small circular metal knob. The exterior surfaces are finished with a dark brown stain, while the interior of the cases reveals a lighter natural oak finish. An original paper manufacturer label is located on the interior of one section, identifying the piece as the Hale System of Book Case Units and noting the material as No 1 Quarter Oak.
