American Empire Revival Lyre Base Side Table with Marble Top 14”X18”X29” - FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY: This American Empire revival side table features a rectangular white marble top with grey veining and an eased edge. The case is constructed of wood with a mahogany finish and contains a single drawer. The drawer face is decorated with a centrally located, carved wooden pull in the form of a rose. The drawer box is joined with machine-cut dovetails. The table is supported by a lyre-shaped pedestal base accented with three vertical metal rods, which rests on a shaped plinth with four splayed and out-swept legs. Small turned decorative pendants are located at the corners beneath the drawer section. This style is often associated with the mid-20th century American Empire revival, specifically the Duncan Phyfe style, and similar examples have been attributed to makers such as Kimball.
