Antique Economic Brand Three-Door Quartersawn Oak Icebox 19”X32”X48” - FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY: This antique three-door icebox is manufactured by the Economic brand, as evidenced by the original brass maker's mark mounted to the front center rail. The cabinet features a quartersawn oak exterior with paneled construction on the doors and sides. It is elevated on a scalloped base with small metal casters. The unit is fitted with original heavy cast brass strap hinges and four cam-action refrigerator latches. The interior is divided into three specialized compartments for cooling and storage. The upper left ice chamber is lined with galvanized metal and includes a corrugated metal floor designed for drainage. The right-hand food storage compartment is finished with a white porcelain-enameled lining and contains four removable wire mesh shelves. The lower left compartment, also finished in white porcelain enamel, features a central vertical drain pipe for meltwater. The reverse of the cabinet is constructed of horizontal wood slats and bears stenciled black identification marks reading 8-L / LOT, 195 / SERIES, A.
