Two Vintage Brass - Cast Metal Animal Figurines, Saddled Horse and Lion - This lot features two vintage cast metal figurines consisting of a Western-style horse and a standing lion, frequently identified as mid-20th-century carnival or county fair prizes. The horse figurine is modeled with a detailed Western saddle featuring decorative scrollwork and a matching breast collar. It has a dark bronze-toned patina with golden-hued highlights visible on the ears, saddle, and hindquarters. A brass-tone ball chain is attached to the mouth to simulate a bridle. The lion figurine is depicted in a standing posture with a full mane and an open mouth, finished in a bright brass tone with natural darkening in the textured areas of the mane and musculature. Both items appear to be made of hollow-cast metal, such as spelter or white metal, with a metallic wash or japanned finish. No manufacturer marks, labels, or signatures are visible on either piece.
