A Pair of Lead Cut Crystal Pitchers with Frosted Bird Medallions - This set consists of two pieces of lead cut crystal tableware featuring a matching pattern of frosted bird medallions and geometric cuts. The set includes a large footed water pitcher and a matching footed creamer. The pattern is attributed to the Byrdes collection produced by Hofbauer of West Germany in the late 20th century. Both vessels are decorated with frosted intaglio medallions depicting a bird perched among strawberry leaves and berries. The surrounding crystal body is heavily cut with a combination of diamond points, vertical fans, and starburst motifs. Each piece features a sawtooth scalloped rim and stands on a pedestal base with a radial starburst pattern on the underside. The handles are molded with a textured geometric design.
