Antique Two-Toned Stoneware Beehive Jug - This antique stoneware vessel is a beehive or dome-top style whiskey jug. It features a cylindrical lower body transitioning into a sloping, dome-shaped shoulder, terminating in a narrow mouth with a single strap handle. The jug is finished with a two-tone glaze application. The neck, handle, and upper shoulder are covered in a dark chocolate brown slip glaze, while the lower half of the cylinder is finished in a lighter olive-brown glaze. These two sections are separated by a distinct, unglazed gray textured band at the shoulder.
