Nineteenth Century American Salt Glazed Stoneware Storage Jar - A cylindrical antique stoneware storage jar featuring a rounded rim and a single incised horizontal line at the shoulder. The exterior is finished in a light brown salt glaze with a characteristic orange peel texture and occasional iron spotting. The interior is coated with a dark brown glaze consistent with Albany slip used for waterproofing. There are no maker marks, capacity stamps, or decorative motifs present on the vessel.
