The piece is decorated with hand-painted floral motifs including a central rose spray and blue accents, complemented by purple and reddish-brown brushwork. The decoration includes four molded putti figures; two form the lid finial and two act as side handles. These figures are embellished with applied three-dimensional yellow flowers and green leaves.
