Nippon Hand Painted Porcelain Condiment Trio with Tray Creamer and Lidded Bowl - A three piece hand painted porcelain condiment or breakfast set produced by Morimura Brothers for export. The set comprises an irregularly shaped tray with two circular recessed wells and a top handle slot, a small creamer with a scrolled handle and pinched spout, and a small round lidded bowl with a gold knobbed lid. The central well of the tray and the bodies of the vessels are decorated with polychrome floral bouquets of pink wild roses and purple violets. The upper sections feature a purple and gold lattice or trellis pattern on a white ground. The scalloped edges are finished with a seafoam green border adorned with raised gold stars. The handles and rims are heavily accented with gilding. The base of the tray bears the Morimura Brothers hourglass in wreath mark in reddish orange ink with the words Hand Painted and NIPPON.
