Goebel Hummel On Our Way Century Collection Figurine Model 472 - A Goebel M.I. Hummel hand-painted porcelain figurine titled On Our Way (German: Bald sind wir dr¸ben), identifying as the seventh issue in the Century Collection. The piece depicts a young boy and girl crossing a rustic wooden bridge over a stream. The boy is featured in traditional Bavarian attire including lederhosen, a backpack, and a Tyrolean hat with a feather, while the girl wears a dirndl-style dress and apron while carrying a woven basket. A stylized evergreen tree is positioned at the end of the bridge. The side of the base bears the incised signature M. J. Hummel. The underside features a blue circular backstamp with the text M. J. Hummel, 1992, XX, and CENTURY COLLECTION. Centrally located on the base is the stamped title in blue text: Bald sind wir dr¸ben, On Our Way. The Goebel factory mark is stamped in blue with Germany and a stylized bee symbol. The model number 472 is incised on the underside alongside stamped production marks YXP, 942, and 3.
