The specimen displays a dense cluster of deep purple amethyst crystal points that transition into a layer of clear and milky quartz. The reverse side reveals the natural, textured volcanic host rock. The specimen is permanently secured to a heavy, oval-shaped polished stone base, likely banded onyx or marble, which exhibits creamy white and tan tones with natural veining.
