Two Norman Rockwell Museum The American Family Series Bisque Porcelain Figurines - This lot consists of two hand-painted bisque porcelain figurines from The American Family Series, issued by the Norman Rockwell Museum in 1979. The first figurine, titled Wrapping Christmas Presents, depicts an elderly couple at a table preparing a gift. The man is shown wearing a purple vest and bowtie with a pipe in his mouth, while the woman holds a small doll over an open gift box. The second figurine, titled Baby's First Step, portrays a young family scene with a man in red and blue striped pajamas and a woman in a floral nightgown encouraging a baby's first steps. Both figurines feature the incised signature Norman Rockwell on the upper surface of the bases. The underside of the Baby's First Step figurine includes printed marks for the title, the 1979 copyright, the series name, and the official Norman Rockwell Museum seal. Each item is accompanied by its original white and blue retail box and a Certificate of Authenticity.
