Nikco Sports University of Kentucky Wildcats 100th Anniversary Limited Edition Commemorative Basketball - A limited edition University of Kentucky Wildcats 100th Anniversary commemorative basketball manufactured by Nikco Sports. This full-size regulation basketball was produced in 2003 to celebrate 100 years of the program's history from 1903 to 2003. The ball features a split-panel design with two white synthetic panels and six traditional orange pebble-grain panels. One white panel is printed with a color 100th-anniversary logo featuring the UK logo, a basketball graphic, and the text Kentucky Basketball 100 1903-2003 Unparalleled Tradition. The opposite white panel contains a printed historical summary titled 100 Years of Basketball Tradition, which lists notable coaches Adolph Rupp, Joe B. Hall, Eddie Sutton, Rick Pitino, and Tubby Smith, along with the program's seven national championship years through 1998. The bottom of the text panel is marked Limited Edition 2003. The item includes the original Certificate of Authenticity from Nikco Sports of St. Louis, hand-numbered 1395 of a limited production run of 2,003. The certificate is signed by Joy E.
