A Pair of Towle Sterling Silver Spoons in the Candlelight Pattern - A pair of sterling silver spoons in the Candlelight pattern produced by Towle Silversmiths. This pattern was introduced in 1934. The handles are decorated with scalloped edges featuring floral and scroll motifs flanking a smooth central panel. The oval bowls feature decorative fluting on the underside. Marks on the reverse handle of the first spoon include TOWLE STERLING Pat. 1934 and Candlelight in script with a registered trademark symbol. Marks on the reverse handle of the second spoon include a pictorial hallmark of a lion passing through a stylized letter T followed by TOWLE STERLING and Candlelight in script with a registered trademark symbol.
