Ariminum Vulgo Rimini by Johannes Blaeu, After Hoefnagel, c.1705 - This detailed prospect of Rimini, titled Ariminum vulgo Rimini, Ville de l'Etat de l'Eglise, dans la Romagne, was published by Johannes Blaeu in the early 18th century as part of Mortier's edition of Blaeu's Townbooks of Italy. The view is based on a drawing by Joris Hoefnagel, originally created for the famous Braun & Hogenberg Civitates Orbis Terrarum. The map depicts Rimini from the Gulf of Venice, showcasing the city's layout and its position along the Adriatic coast. As with many of Blaeu's works, this map is beautifully detailed and highlights key buildings and landmarks.
