Passover Haggadah with a Map of Eretz Israel and Numerous Engraved Illustrations. London 1806.
A rare Passover Haggadah with English translation.
The magnificent copperplate engravings that were added to this Haggadah reflect the historical and geographical knowledge of the period. The illustrations depict, among other things, the High Priest and his garments, the Tabernacle and its vessels, the Sinai Desert, and more.
The Haggadah includes maps of: Jerusalem in different periods, Eretz Israel from the Direction of the Sinai Desert, The Land of Canaan, The Red Sea, and the Path of the Exodus from Egypt.
Exceptionally, rare Haggadah. It is most unusual to find a complete edition of this Haggadah with all of its illustrations and maps and bound in an original (restored) antique, leather binding.
