First edition of the Sefer Ner Mitzvah, a com mentary by Rabbi Moshe ben Haim ben Shem Tov Pizanti on Rabbi Shlomo Ibn Gabirol.

Rabbi Moshe ben Shem Tov Pizanti: known as the RaMa"P. A sage from Tzfat who traveled in the diaspora and published his writings. He taught for a living in the city of Thessaloniki. He was murdered in Makrinou, Greece, by the Turks, in the year 1573. His published works include: 'Yeshe Elohim' – a commentary on the Hoshanas, 'Chukat Pesach' – a commentary on the Passover Haggadah, and 'Ner Mitzvah' – a commentary on Ibn Gvirol.
