Sha'arei Tzeddek – with Comments in Italian Script. Riva di Trento, [1561]
Kabbalistic Sefer Yesod In It's First Edition.

Sefer Sha'arei Tzeddek, about the principles of the ten Sefirot. By the Mekubal Rabbi Yosef Gikatilla.

This book is the gate to the halls of Kabbalah and Sefirot, as stated by the title page: "בצדק ובמשפט כל מעשיהו לבא אל היכל פנימה הקבלה הא-להית". Since the appearance of the Ari, leading Mekubalim ordered not to study Kabbalah books that preceded him. The only Mekubal whose books were excluded from that directive and which are studied to this day is Rabbi Yosef Gikatilla, the author of this book, Sha'arei Tzeddek.

Throughout the book, many Hebrew and foreign comments and glosses in ancient Italian script – some of them are trimmed due to the trimming of the edges of the leaves.

The Mekubal Rabbi Yosef ben Avraham Gikatilla [1248-1305]: one of the leading Mekubalim of Spain in the 13th century. A disciple of the prophetic Mekubal Rabbi Avraham Abulafia. In his youth, authored the book Ginat Egoz dealing with Gematria and Kabbalistic names. His Kabbalistic works include Sefer Sha'arei Tzeddek, Sefer Hachashmal, Sefer Sha'arei Orah, Sefer Hanikud, Sod Hanachash and more.
