Torah Nevi'im Ketuvim. Antwerp, [1573]. - Impressive miniature copy, bound in an ancient leather binding.  The complete Antwerp Bible. Fine small edition that was printed in 1573 by the famed printer Christophe Plantin. Only 24 Hebrew books were printed by Plantin during the years 1564-1590.  Christophe Plantin, one of the leading printers of the 16th century: as Daniel Bomberg's nephew, he mastered the art of printing and soon became one of the most successful and influential contemporary printers. Shortly before the printing of the Bible, Plantin became a partner of the Bomberg family, thus receiving the Hebrew types developed by Bomberg.  Plantin printed several Hebrew Bibles in varied sizes and formats.  This copy is in very fine condition.
