Tikkun Socharim Vetikkun Chalufim. Amsterdam, [1714]. Excellent Copy in a Parchment Binding. - This unique book belongs to the literary genre of lexicons (Brivenshtelers). Printed in Yiddish.  In 1714, the book Tikkun Socharim Vetikkun Chalufim was printed in Amsterdam. The book contained example versions of business deeds and contracts, in Judeo-Ashkenazic (Yiddish). The book was authored and compiled by Yosef Marshan with Moshe Bendin and Zvi Hirsch Shebrashin.  What is special about this edition is that the font used for its printing was that of eloquent Ashkenazic script.  Appearing at the beginning of the book is an approbation by the contemporary Ashkenazic Rav of Amsterdam, Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Ashkenazi, known as the Chacham Zvi, who protected the publisher's copyrights and forbade using this font without his consent.  About the literary genre of the lexicons see Dov Rapel, Bibliography of Jewish Lexicons (Hebrew), Sinai, volume 113, 1994, pp. 53-79; Yehudit Halevi Tzweik, The History of Hebrew Lexicons (the Brivenshtelers) (Hebrew), Tal Aviv, 1990.  Amsterdam, 1714.  [8], 230 pp. Perfect condition.
