Shut Perach Shoshan - Signature of Rabbi Yehuda Leib Schwarzschild Scribe of Frankfurt am Main and Stamp of Rabbi Binyamin Niederhofheim a Famed Mohel of Frankfurt am Main. Kushta, [1692]. First Edition. - Perach Shoshan, Shut on Seder Arba'ah Turim, comments on Shut Ginat Veradim, by the Gaon Rabbi Yeshu'ah Zein Shababo Rosh Av Beit Din of Egypt and a disciple of the Ginat Veradim, based on his Rav's book.  The Chida in Shem Hegedolim (the entry of Rabbi Yeshu'ah) writes about this book:  ”והרוב במה שכתב עליו ולעצמו הוא מציל” On the title page of the book, an important ownership notation of Yehuda Leib Schwarzschild, who succeeded his father as scribe and Ne'eman of Frankfurt am Main  - his signature appears again on leaf 2.  Beneath the ownership notation there is a signature-like stamp of Rabbi Binyamin Niederhofheim, a famed Mohel and important figure in Frankfurt am Main. Rabbi Binyamin had a large private library which included also rare manuscripts.  Rabbi Binyamin Niederhofheim (1810-1885) : a merchant, Talmid Chacham and a famed expert Mohel ( who circumcised 7110 babies! ). A dignitary of the Frankfurt am Main community in the period of the Rashar Hirsch (he even merited the Rashar Hirsch being buried by him).  Author of Dinei Milah - a work that was printed in Sefer Habrit by Rabbi Moshe Brick (Frankfurt am Main, 1841). In his house, there was a Minyan that followed the special traditions of Rabbi Natan Adler of Frankfurt am Main, the Rav of the Chatam Sofer . Back then, Rabbi Natan Adler established in his home a private Minyan, which adopted the Nusach of the Sephardim. After his passing, his disciple, Rabbi Leib Emrich, continued the Minyan and in 1818, it moved to the house of his son-in-law's son-in-law, Rabbi Binyamin Niederhofheim, where it was held until the Holocaust, and was known as the Niederhofheimshe Schul.  Rabbi Yeshu'ah Zein Shababo (also known as the Mahari Zein) (Egypt, ca. 1670 - Safed, ca. 1740) : one of the rabbis of Egypt and Safed, a disciple of Rabbi Avraham Halevi the author of the Ginat Veradim and author of Shut Sha'arei Yeshu'ah and more. Was close to other Egyptian sages including Rabbi Avraham Yitzchaki and his in-law, Rabbi Yosef Halevi Nazir (author of Shut Mateh Yosef). At first served as a scribe writing bills. In 1701, received a rabbinic position in Cairo. He immigrated to Eretz Yisrael in ca. 1726, settling in Safed. Poskim often refer to his as ”one of the rabbis of the upper galilee”. His words are often introduced in books by following Acharonim (such as Birkei Yosef by the Chida, Rabbi Akiva Eiger's glosses on the Shulchan Aruch and more) as an important source.  Kushta, [1692].
