Seer Zoharei Chamah. Venice, [1650]. - First edition of a Kabbalistic Sefer Yesod by the Mekubal Rabbi Avraham Azulai - the author of Chessed LeAvraham - Maran the Chida's great-grandfather.  Edited by the Mekubal Rabbi Moshe Zacuto (the Remez), a fundamental commentary of Sefer Hazohar.  Sefer Zoharei Chamah is an elucidation on Sefer Hazohar Bereshit - an abbreviated version of Sefer Yare'ach Yakar by the Mahara Galanti by Rabbi Avraham Azulai the author of Chessed LeAvraham - Maran the Chida's grandfather.  Zoharei Chamah on the other sections of the Zohar was published by the Rav of Shinova in Munkatch, 1881-1898.  Rabbi Avraham Azulai:  Rav and Mekubal. The Chida's great-grandfather. Was born in [1570] in Fes, Morocco, to a family of sages from Castile who were exiled from Spain.  In his youth, he studied Torah with the sages of the town. However, when the Jews of Fes became persecuted and many of them perished, he decided to immigrate to Eretz Yisrael. He studied Kabbalah with Rabbi Chaim Vital and with his son, Rabbi Shmuel Vital. He was also greatly influenced by the Kabbalah of the Ramak.  According to the foreword of Sefer Otzrot Chaim, Rabbi Azulai and Rabbi Yaakov Tzemach travelled to the Rabbi Chaim Vital's grave in Syria, where they did Yichudim, until they received permission from Rabbi Chaim Vital to dig up his writings, which were buried in his grave. One of the writings they dug up was Sefer Otzrot Chaim, which is actually a Mahadura Kama of Sefer Etz Chaim.  In his books, he often describes the spiritual virtues of settling Eretz Yisrael and especially the city of Hebron.  Venice, [1650]. First edition. [3], 262 leaves. 21 cm. Lacking one page from forewords - otherwise complete. Good overall condition. Some moth perforations and stains. The title page and last page are professionally restored. Slight wear to the upper edge of the last twenty leaves,   Stefansky, Sifrei Yesod 330.  First edition of a rare Kabbalistic Sefer Yesod.
