Rosh Yosef. Izmir [1658] - Most impressive copy of the two sections bound together - one of the first books printed in Izmir. Single edition.  Section I : Elucidation on Tur Orach Chaim and the Rambam's words related to the matter. Section II : Choshen Mishpat section. Both sections are by Rabbi Yosef Escapa, one of the sages of Salonika and Izmir, a disciple of Rabbi Aharon Sasson the author of Torat Emet. The author was the Rav of Shabtai Zvi and one of the first rabbis who banned him when he claimed that he was the Messiah.  In this year, a Hebrew press started operating in Izmir; this is the second book that was printed there.   Izmir [1658]. First edition. The Press of Rabbi Avraham ben Yedidya Gabai Kaf Nachat.  [2], 214, 110 leaves. Wonderful condition.  This copy:  Perfect copy. Thick, bright leaves. Original leather-covered wooden binding, embossed and with traces of copper buckles - a most impressive volume.
