Semichat Chachamim - The Two Sections. Frankfurt am Main, [1704-6] - Complete and impressive copy in an original leather binding. First edition in the author's lifetime.  The famed book by the Gaon and Mekubal Rabbi Naftali Katz, which he published in his lifetime. Includes: Semichat Chachamim, the introduction to Semichat Chachamim - the titles of the Sdarim and tractates and their adjacency. Kedusha UBeracha - Chidushim on Masechet Berachot.  This is the author's first significant work. (Beforehand, only some poems and Selichot he authored were published). In this book, which was authored in the first year he served as Rav of Frankfurt, he demonstrated his immense strength in Nigleh and Nistar and especially his ability to combine them.  Published in the author's lifetime-  The famed Gaon and Mekubal Rabbi Naftali Katz (1650-1719), one of the leading Mekubalim of Ashkenaz. Av Beit Din of Ostrohe, Posna and Frankfurt am Main. Since youth was a most diligent learner, so much so that he knew the entire Shas by heart. Immediately after his marriage, he was appointed Rosh Yeshiva of Ostrohe. When he was about thirty, he was appointed its Rav. In 1689, he moved to Posna to serve as its Rav. At the same time, when he was only about forty, he was also appointed the leader and head of Vaad Arba Aratzot (The Council of Four Lands), the supreme religious authority of all states of Germany and Poland. In 1704, he moved to serve as Rav of Frankfurt am Main. To this day, people come to his gravesite in Kushta to pray for salvation.  On the second leaf, a poem printed in the shape of a star; the edges of the leaf (with part of the text) are folded.  79; [1], 140 leaves. 33.5 cm.
