Portrait of Rabbi Moshe Gomes de Mesquita . London, 1752 - Rare print - portrait of the Rav of the Sha'ar Hashamayim community of London.  ”Picture of the complete sage, pious and humble, our teacher and Rav, Rabbi Moshe Gomes de Mesquita, who was Av Beit Din and Ram of London at the Sha'ar Hashamayim community... and passed away on Tuesday, the 32rd of Iyar, 1751...”.  Portrait of Rabbi Moshe Gomes de Mesquita - Rav of the Sha'ar Hashamayim Sephardic community of London. John Faber Press, [London], 1752.  Rabbi Moshe Gomes de Mesquita (d. 1751) : Rav of the Sha'ar Hashamayim Sephardic community of London for seven years. Earlier, he was one of the sages of Etz Chaim Yeshiva of Amsterdam. Halachic responsa by him was printed in the volumes of Shut Pri Etz Chaim published by the members of the Etz Chaim Beit Midraqsh of Amsterdam (Volumes I, II, III and VII).  In Volume III, at the beginning of question 5, he is describes as follows: ”אחד המיוחד שבעם ראשון לכל דבר שבקדושה עמוד הימיני מבית המדרש הגדול והמפורסם של 'עץ חיים' ה”ה ה”ה כמוהר”ר משה גומיש די מישקיטה נר”ו...”. 32X22.5 cm.
