Portrait of Rabbi Yechezkel Landau. Prague, ca. 1840 - Rare engraving: portrait of the Noda BiYehuda, Rabbi Yechezkel Landau - one of the leading Poskim of recent generations. Prague, [ca. 1840].  Printed beneath the portrait: ”Ezechiel Landau, Oberrabbiner bey der Israelitengemeinde in Prag – Noda BiYehuda... for forty years he led the Jewish congregation of Prague as a shepherd….”.  Rabbi Yechezkel Segal Halevi Landau:  one of the greatest Poskim and the Rav of Prague. Was known as the Noda BiYehuda after his famed book. Was a leading Lithuanian Rav, who was revered and praised by leading Admorim including Rabbi Chaim of Sanz and Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi.  36X30 cm.
