Silver Kiddush Cup. France, the First Half of the 19th Century - Rare and special silver Kiddush cup, handmade quality silversmithing, with illustrations of animals and Hebrew inscriptions.  The center of the cup is covered with fine hammer-work and engravings of plant motifs. Inside four round medallions, the silversmith engraved illustrations of animals with the Hebrew inscriptions: 'רץ כצבי', 'גבור כארי', 'עז כנמר', 'קל כנשר' (strong as a leopard, swift as an eagle, fleet as a gazelle, brave as a lion).  On the upper edge of the cup, there are two hallmarks: a general French one and of the silversmith.
