Signed.  Alois Heinrich Priechenfried (1867-1953): An important portrait painter in the history of Jewish art. In his time, he was famed for his portraits of rabbis.  During the years 1884-1885, he completed his artistic training as a guest student of the Academy of Fine Arts of Vienna and was taught by Prof. Christian Christian Griepenkerl.
