'Fagin and Shylock' - Lot of Five Jewish Figures. The 20th Century - 5 ceramic figurines of Fagin and Shylock, made after the war.  Fagin , a character from the novel Oliver Twist, the Jewish criminal mastermind who kidnaps orphaned children and trains them to be pickpockets, is stereotypically depicted as an ugly crook with shabby clothes.  Shylock - the Jewish Merchant of Venice from Shakespeare's famous play.  Sizes vary: height -  24, 22, 18, 10, 10 cm.  Provenance : The Bloch Family Collection, Melbourne-Australia.
