Rare Glass Painting by the Artist David Ben Elkayam Moshe Or. Jerusalem ca. 1930 - Early and rare work of art from Jerusalem of the early 20th century. Made by a Jewish artist who lived in Jerusalem. Appearing in the cneter of the plate in the scene of the Binding of Yitzchak and above it, the inscription: ”ועקידת יצחק היום לזרעו של יעקב אבינו ברחמים תזכור סלה”. Above it, an illustration of the walls of Jerusalem with the Hebrew inscription ”Jerusalem” . Appearing around it are Yad Avshalom, the tomb of Rabbi Meir Baal Hanes, Rachel's Tomb and the tomb of Zecharya Hanavi [with captions beneath each illustration]. At the top of the work, the inscription: ”אם אשכחך ירושלם תשכח ימיני תדבק לשני לחכי אם לא אזכרכי”. Illustrations of Art Nouveau lions, trees and flowers. Original Jewish folk art made in Jerusalem in the earky 20th century by a Jewish artist. Rare.
