Silver Torah Pointer. Russiah-Poland 19th Century - Designed, silver Torah Pointer (Yad) made in Russia-Poland in the mid-19th century.  The central and impressive element appearing on this Pointer are three silver 'apples' handcrafted by a silversmith and decorated with plants. The three 'apples' were designed so that the first of them, at the edge of the Pointer, is the largest and the second and third are gradually smaller.  Between the silver 'apples' the Pointer is square with delicate engravings of decorative geometrical elements.  A silver chain, apparently contemporary, is enclosed with the pointer.
