Rare and Important Jewish Fabric Embroidery for Rosh Hashana. Germany 1912 - Jewish textile, fine quality handcrafted embroidery made in Germany in 1912. The handcrafted embroidery was done for Rosh Hashana. Embroidered at its top are the gilt letters of the blessing: ”לשנה טובה תכתבו”. Beneath it, a blessing for the New Year in German and the Hebrew year.  In the center, an embroidered dove. The border of the work is also embriodred with motifs of flowers and plants.  This item is particularly important, it is a very high quality and important Jewish embroidery made by Jews in Germany with wonderful and impressive handwork. Textiles of this type are rare and extremely important.
