An important and early silver binding. Germany, circa 1700 - An important Hebrew Bible in a rare and exceptionally high-quality silver binding. This ancient and important binding was handmade by a wonderful silversmith. The quality of the silver chase work is greatly enhances the Bible bound in it. The entire binding is surrounded and decorated with floral and plant motifs on all sides. A delicate combination of fine silver cord work (filigree). An original silver lock closes the binding. Very rare miniature Bible. Berlin 1711. Five Pentateuch in a special miniature format, with the first and last prophets (missing Ketuvim part). Beautiful and important German Jewish Binding.
