Kabbalah Book: Derech Emunah with Handwritten Glosses. Padua, 1562. The First Hebrew Book Printed in Padua! - Derech Emunah is a Kabbalah book, structured in question-answer form. Authored by Rabbi Meir ben Gabbai, author of Avodat HaKdesh and Tola’at Yaakov. On the reverse side of the title page is the preface of ‘Proofreader Shmuel of Moravia Shatz of Padua’. On leaf 2 appear ten questions that R’ Yosef HaLevi the disciple asked the author. The composition is the answer to these questions. On the final page of the book is a handwritten ownership inscription: “Netanel son of Moshe Rae [?] shlitas”. Throughout the book are handwritten glosses. Padua, 1562.
