Second Edition of This Foundational Work on Jewish Prayer and Blessings Classic work on the structure of the prayers, their meanings, origins, and customs, authored by Rabbi David Abudraham of Seville, Spain. The Avudraham is considered the most comprehensive early source on the development and laws of Jewish prayer and blessings, including detailed discussions of liturgical customs, textual traditions, and halachic explanations. Rabbi David Abudraham, believed by some to have been a disciple of Rabbeinu Yaakov Ba'al HaTurim, completed this work in the year 5100 (1340 CE), as stated in the section on the calendar and at the conclusion of the book.
