Iggeret HaKodesh – Salonika, 1595. Incredibly Unique Copy. - Iggeret HaKodesh – Salonika, 1595 – Extremely Rare Edition. A classic treatise on holiness of marriage, traditionally attributed to the great Kabbalist and Talmudist Rabbi Moshe ben Nachman (Ramban). Printed in Salonika, 1595, this edition is exceedingly rare and not listed by R. Ch.D. Chavel in his introduction to Iggeret HaKodesh in the Kitvei HaRamban (Mossad HaRav Kook, vol. II), nor does he mention it among the early editions known to him. The Iggeret HaKodesh (”The Holy Epistle”) consists of six chapters discussing the sanctity and spiritual significance of the marital relationship between husband and wife. The work offers a unique blend of halachic, kabbalistic, and philosophical perspectives and has been the subject of scholarly discussion regarding its authorship. First published in Rome, 1556, the treatise quickly gained favor among Torah scholars. It was subsequently printed in Basel, 1580 and Krakow, 1594. The present Salonika edition (1595) appears to be exceptionally rare, with no mention of it in standard bibliographies aside from brief references in Otzar HaSefer HaIvri (no. 133). In Bet Eked Sefarim (no. 555), a similar edition is listed as Salonika 1593, 14 leaves – possibly a bibliographical error or misattributed description. 14.5 × 9 cm. 26 pages Illustrated title page Condition: Good.
