Haggadah Shel Pesach with The Zera Yehuda Commentary. Offenbach, 1721. First Edition With Fine Illustrations! - Zera Yehuda Commentary on the Passover Haggadah. By Rabbi Aryeh Leib, Rabbi and Av Beit Din of the Magdeburg (Mainz) community. Rabbi Aryeh Leib studied in his youth at the Frankfurt yeshiva and later served as the Av Beit Din of Mainz from 1687 to 1714. His most renowned work is Yad Yehuda, a commentary on Asarah Ma'amarot by The Reman of Fano. Zera Yehuda was completed as early as 1710, as noted in the printer's preface. However, due to difficulties in printing—partially caused by the concurrent publication of the Haggadah with the commentary Mateh Aharon in the same year—the author was unable to see it printed during his lifetime. The work was finally published ten years after his passing in 1721 (5481) by his student, Yehuda Leib Wännlier. Offenbach, 1721 . 36 leaves. First Edition. Good condition. Numerous illustrations. Simple binding. Ownership inscriptions present.
