First Edition of this Classic Kabbalistic Work of Segulot – In Rare Condition, with Original Parchment Binding An early printed edition of the legendary Sefer Raziel HaMalach, a foundational work of practical Kabbalah and mystical traditions. According to Jewish tradition, the book contains esoteric secrets revealed to Adam HaRishon (the First Man) by the angel Raziel after his expulsion from the Garden of Eden. This ancient Kabbalistic text covers topics such as the structure of the heavens, names of angels, Ma'aseh Bereishit (the Work of Creation), divine names, protective amulets, incantations, and mystical invocations of angels, spirits, and demons. This is the first printed edition, edited from manuscript sources. The book became the origin for many well-known segulot (protective charms and spiritual remedies), including amulets for safeguarding women in childbirth, enhancing memory of Torah study, protection from harm and fire, and assistance for the barren or those struggling in labor. Simply possessing the book was traditionally considered a powerful segulah for protection, as noted on the title page. Includes an elaborate decorated title page, mystical diagrams, amuletic illustrations, and angelic incantations. Amsterdam, 1701. 45 leaves. Condition: Very good. Occasional marginal stains; one leaf with minor trimming into text. Original elegant full vellum binding in excellent condition. A rare and sought-after edition of one of Judaism’s most enduring mystical texts.
