Chamishah Chumshei Torah ”Aderet Eliyahu”. Dubrovna, 1804. First Edition of the Gra's Commentary on the Torah. With Rare Haftorot Pages! - The Five Books of the Torah with various commentaries, and with three new commentaries: the commentary of the Gra, Aderet Eliyahu, and two commentaries on the Mesorah – Menorat Shlomo and Minchat Kalil, by the Gra’s son-in-law, Rabbi Or Shraga Feivush ben Rabbi Shlomo Zalman, Av Beit Din of Dubroŭna. Dubrovna (Dubroŭna), 1804. First edition of the Gra’s commentary on the Torah. Two parts in two volumes. At the beginning of the first part are introductions by the Gra’s sons. This copy includes the rare haftarah pages. The publisher of this edition is Rabbi Or Shraga Feivush, Av Beit Din of Dubrovna, who in his first marriage was the son-in-law of the Gra (see: Aliyat Kir in the book Aliyot Eliyahu, section 27; Betzalel Landau, The Pious Genius of Vilna, p. 268). He included in this edition his two commentaries: Menorat Shlomo and Minchat Kalil. At the end of the book of Vayikra, he recounts his youth, when he merited to sit in the shadow of the Gra: “When I was a lad, I tasted a bit of honey and sweetness on my tongue, from the kisses of the Gaon’s mouth...”.
