Segal and his son Avraham, 1801. First edition, printed during the author's lifetime. Copy of the Rebbe R. Avraham Yissochor HaKohen Rabinowitz of Radomsk The title page bears his signature: ”LaHashem ha'aretz u'melo'ah, Avraham Yissochor HaKohen Rabinowitz miRadomsk.” The Rebbe R. Avraham Yissochor Ber HaKohen Rabinowitz (1843–1892), youngest son and successor of his holy father, R. Shlomo HaKohen Rabinowitz, author of Tiferes Shlomo, was one of the leading figures of Polish Chassidus in his generation. Renowned for his holiness, humility, and exceptional love of his fellow Jews, he was praised by the author of Minchas Elazar of Munkatch, who met him shortly before his passing and extolled him in the eulogy printed in Kuntres Zikaron Tzaddikim, describing him as an extraordinary tzaddik, devoted servant of Hashem, and exalted chassid. His Torah teachings were published in his sefer Chesed LeAvraham. Additional signatures appear on the title page of Machaneh Levi and on other leaves, including: ”Yehoshua Heshel... po Krakow.” Ownership stamps also appear on the title page and throughout the volume: ”Mordechai Yosef HaKohen Blass, Radomsk.” Collation: [5], 256 leaves; [1], 99 leaves. Paper repairs to the title page. Age stains and signs of use. Wear to the margins of the final leaves. Good condition.
