Passover Haggadah, “With Commentary by the Divine Gaon Rabbi Samson of Ostropoli, of Blessed and Holy Memory, ” Kapust, 1826 – Numerous Handwritten Glosses. - Commentary on the Entire Order of the Haggadah, by the Holy Gaon Rabbi Shimshon of Ostropoli and Rabbi Yitzchak Abarbanel – “Collected and Compiled from All Commentataries on the Haggadah… with wondrous and astonishing novellae from the holy kabbalist, the Gaon Rabbi Shimshon of Ostropoli… novellae from Rabbi Yitzchak Abarbanel z”l, the Gaon, author of Ma’aseh Hashem, and Chevel Bnei Yehudah. In addition, included is a clear explanation according to the simple meaning, based on the siddur Tefillat Nehora HaShalem [printed in Vilna, 1825]. Several passages of halachot and customs in the present Haggadah are copied from the siddur of the Rabbi (the Baal HaTanya), also printed in Kapust. In the margins are numerous handwritten glosses (Rashi - Ashkenazi ), including halachot, customs, kavanot, and explanations (the writer notes that his practices differ from those of the “Perushim” [students of the Vilna Gaon], and he was apparently from a different community).
