Sefer Refuot HaNefesh, by Rabbu Elyakim of Komarno. Altona, 1740. - Sefer Refu’os HaNefesh, on matters relating to a dangerously ill patient, the moment of departure of the soul, and the laws of mourning (Aninus), by Rabbi Eliyakim of Komarno. Printed through the efforts of the chevra kaddisha (burial society) of the Altona community, in large punctuated type. In two columes, Altona, 5500 [1740]. The second volume contains prayers and halachic rulings for women, in Yiddish. Separate title pages for each part. On the endpaper: ownership inscription — “This book belongs to the esteemed woman Mrs. (Agela), daughter of the honorable Rabbi Shmuel (Berlin), widow of the honorable Rabbi (Shvitz?) son of Rabbi Moshe z”l” (and similarly: “Agela daughter of the honorable Rabbi Shmuel (Berlin)”). Antique wooden/leather binding (partially uncertain). Binding and several leaves partially detached; tear with loss to text on one leaf; general signs of age and wear. Condition: Fair.
