This Midrash is cited numerous times in the works of the great Chassidic masters, particularly in the writings of the tzaddikim of the Sighet and Satmar dynasties, foremost among them the seforim Yismach Moshe and Yitav Lev. The author was among the scholars of the beis medrash of the governor and leader Yissochor Berman Segal, who assisted in printing the sefer.
