First edition of the third part of She'eilos U'Teshuvos Maharit, printed in Venice in 1645, only a few years after the author's passing. The Maharit's work is one of the fundamental seforim of halachic literature, and his rulings and responsa are cited extensively by the leading Acharonim. The title page bears a stamp indicating that the sefer belonged to the renowned library of the Admor Rabbi Avrohom Mordechai Alter of Gur, author of ”Imrei Emes, ” zy”a. It is well known that the Imrei Emes held early seforim and first editions in especially high esteem, and took great care to assemble a library of rare and important Torah treasures. New binding.
