Blessing letter from the Lubavitcher Rebbe Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn – blessing for good health and abundant livelihood. Bearing his distinctive holy signature from his final year. Tammuz, 5709 [1949]. - Letter from the Admor Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn of Lubavitch, sent to Anash and Talmidei HaTmimim in Manchester. Brooklyn, New York, 18 Tammuz 5709 [1949]. Typed letter on the Rebbe’s official letterhead. In the letter the Rebbe acknowledges the greetings and blessings sent by the Chassidim on the occasion of his recovery and the days of the Festival of Liberation (12–13 Tammuz), and responds with heartfelt blessings for all the recipients, including wishes for health and livelihood in abundance: ”And Hashem Yisborach should strengthen the health of everyone and He should bestow on everyone livelihood in abundance”. At the conclusion of the letter the Rebbe added two lines in his holy handwriting, offering an additional blessing “in both material and spiritual matters, ” and signed in his sacred signature: “Yosef Yitzchak.” The signature is in the distinctive form used during the final year of his lifetime, in which the initial Yud of “Yitzchak” appears in Ashuri script, a feature characteristic of his later correspondence.
