Tikkun Shovavim. Livorno, 1740. Including Prayer of The Ohr HaChaim HaKadosh Printed for the First Time. - Sefer Tikkun Shovavim, “which was examined, investigated, and arranged…” by the all-encompassing rabbi and faithful mekubal, the esteemed Rabbi Moshe Zacuth (the Ramaz), zt”l, with various prayers and supplications compiled by Rabbi Yosef Fiametta. Livorno, 1740 [ת״ק]. An important edition containing for the first time in print a prayer by Rabbi Chaim ben Attar, author of the holy Ohr HaChaim. This prayer was apparently printed during his stay in Italy on his journey to Eretz Yisroel, and later became widely known when reprinted by the Chida in a siddur he edited in 1800. The work contains a rare collection of tikkunim, prayers, and various liturgical orders, including: Mincha for the fast of the Selichos days as practiced in the study hall of Rabbi Yosef Irgas; a prayer by Rabbi Elazar HaKalir; a prayer composed by Rabbi Chaim ben Attar; Tikkun for Erev Rosh Chodesh; Tikkun for the 7th of Adar; as well as prayers and arrangements for the sick, the deceased, and for burial societies and charitable organizations. An early and significant edition reflecting the world of prayer and custom in Italian Jewish communities of the 18th century, with special importance due to the first appearance in print of a prayer by the author of the Ohr HaChaim.
