Second and important edition, brought to press by the author’s grandson, Rabbi Avraham Nun, who expanded the work and added much material not printed in the first edition. The present copy includes two title pages; the first is adorned with an engraved illustration. Copies in which both title pages have been preserved are considered rare. In his interesting introduction, Rabbi Avraham Nun elaborates on the praise of his ancestors and their works, records sermons delivered before the community of Pozna, and also brings discourses from his father and grandfather. In addition, novellae by the Shelah HaKadosh are printed in the work, including comments on the Mordechai on Tractate Berachot. In addition to re-editing the work, the publisher added many novellae, laws, and customs of his own, primarily drawn from the Shelah HaKadosh, which were not printed in the first edition. For this reason, this edition is considered an expanded and especially valuable version, including omissions and editorial changes relative to the first printing. At the beginning of the book are approbations from the sages of Amsterdam: Rabbi Avraham Berlin, Rabbi David Yisrael Attias, and Rabbi Yitzchak ben Danah de Brito.
