Exclusive Michael Jordan SI SOY Holographic Shim - Item/Description: Exclusive Chicago Bulls HOF holographic metal shim. The shim, created by Sharon McCormack, a leading holographer and filmmaker, a pioneer in use of holograms for credit cards, created this unique piece for use on the December 23, 1991 Issue of Sports Illustrated featuring their Sportsman of the Year, Michael Jordan. The holographic cover was the only one of its kind in sports Illustrated's 70-year history. A limited issuance copy, from the original shim, was presented by Sports Illustrated to American Banknote executives in appreciation of the success of their collaboration. Al Razutis, examiner and preservationist of McCormack's works, provides a 14- page detailed history of this amazing piece of sports and Michael Jordan collectibles, including comparable sales and certification confirming authenticity.
